CONSTRUCTIVIST CRAFT COMMISSIONS

The Constructivist Commissions are about bringing the best new designers and makers to Erith to work with local residents to create beautiful and useful things for use at The Exchange, and later for sale to sustain our community programming. These craftspeople will transfer their knowledge of making so that we can continue making at The Exchange.

We have recently appointed four craftspeople/groups to work with the local community to design and make fittings and furnishings for The Exchange. This includes woven window blinds, tiles made from reused materials, tableware for use in The Bookstore restaurant and furniture for the top floor of the old library.

Read more about the projects, the craftspeople, and how you can get involved below.
