A SUN BAKED PARADISE
The planting within our dry and sun-baked front garden is loosely inspired by the Mediterranean. It is an experimental space that includes hardy plants like myrtles, aloes and olives, light grasses like Mexican feather grass, annuals such as the California poppy, the perennial and drought-tolerant Turkish sage and summer plants like the Dorycnium hirsutum and Cistus x argentus ‘Silver Pink’.
This garden also features the Iris ‘Susan Benton’, one cultivar of the ‘Benton’ Iris which was a principal feature of Sarah’s Gold Award RHS Chelsea Garden 2023 which was designed at the same time as The Exchange garden.
The Dry Garden sponsor will provide ongoing support to enable the care and enhancement of this beautiful and resilient space.
