Ticket Booking Collage Conversations

Collage Conversations

£0.00
Sold Out

Saturday 26 April | 10:30am - 12:30pm + 1:00pm - 3:00pm | Here Comes the Sun 2025

‘Collage’ - [noun] art created by assembling different forms to make a new whole

‘Conversation’ - [noun] a talk between two or more people, in which news and ideas are exchanged

Join artist and textile designer, Usarae Gul (@usarae_gul) for this creative workshop where you will seek out patterns and motifs within the Exchange to create your own unique collage piece. We will be creating a ‘conversation’ about The Exchange through paper - each element and layer will build a visual narrative. You’ll be encouraged to focus on details, try and deconstruct an image, overlap and repeat motifs, mix up the scale. You can work on one or many collages and, if you have particular images or motifs that have special meaning for you, why not bring them along to help create a conversation about our community and the people within it.

Usarae draws inspiration for her artwork from her Pakistani heritage and encourages you to also look to your heritage and surroundings to spark ideas.

Places to look for inspiration

  • Architecture | Garden | Craft Room | Outside/inside | Past/present

Drop-in spaces may be available on the day.
