Make & Wonder | Tetrapak Print Workshop
Join Lauren from Make & Wonder at The Exchange for a creative print workshop to discover what a drinks carton can become.
Tetrapak, the card packaging used for juice and milk cartons, makes a surprisingly good printing plate. Once cleaned and flattened, it can be scratched into, inked and printed. It's a small act of creative reuse, and a way of seeing everyday materials differently.
We will begin by sketching a design, taking inspiration from Christmas and winter themes. Bring your own images if you like, such as old photographs, cards or illustrations. You'll then etch a small tetrapak plate and print it onto soaked paper using the press, with the quiet thrill of lifting the paper to reveal your print. You'll take home a small set of prints to turn into Christmas or gift cards.
Come solo or with friends. No experience needed, just curiosity.
All materials provided. Ages 16+.
£15 | Booking essential
As part of The Exchange’s Loved & Wanted funding support, there is one funded place available for this workshop. If cost is a barrier to you joining us, please email hello.makeandwonder@gmail.com to discuss.
