Join our Head Gardener, Selina Ozanne, for a workshop about sowing annual flower seeds. Annuals are plants that germinate, flower, set seed and die in one growing season. Examples include Cosmos, Nicotiana, Sweet Peas, Calendula, Nasturtiums, Nigella etc. These are great plants for filling seasonal gaps of colour in your garden.
We will cover topics such as seed size, planting depth, growing medium, temperatures required for germination, where to buy seed and where to grow your plants for the best results.
Selina will also talk about favourite annuals in The Exchange garden, how we use them and tried and tested plant combinations. We will have a look at what’s growing in the greenhouse, and our propagation set-up.
You will also be able to take a pot of sown seed of your choice home with you!
FREE | Spaces are limited so book your spot!
This event is free however we ask you to consider making a purchase from the Garden Room Shop & Coffee bar, or perhaps a small donation if you can, to support The Exchange in keeping these community events accessible for everyone.
