Propagation for Beginners Talk | FREE

Get into the spirit of spring by learning about the art of propagation with our Garden Room Manager, Marie-Clair.  Propagation is the process of growing new plants from seeds, cuttings, and other plant parts. 

This talk will cover the basics of propagating popular indoor and outdoor plants, with take-home techniques to expand your collection.

Discover your creative side this spring with our Pinch Pot Workshop. Join Ho, our Ceramics Manager, and learn to craft your own terracotta plant pot.

Get hands-on guidance in pinching techniques and surface decorations. Terracotta pots are perfect for nurturing new spring shoots due to their porous and breathable qualities. 

Pots can be bisque fired at a small cost - on the day, if you would like to keep pieces, there will be a weigh and pay system. £5 for 500g of clay.

Timber Tray Making Workshop | FREE

Join Harry and Dave from Atelier Thirty Four and learn how to make a stackable timber tray in our Timber Workshop. At the end of the session, if you would like to take your tray home with you, there will be a discounted rate applied to it.

Scrap-Fabric Collage Quilting | FREE

Unleash your creativity with our Textile Collage Quilting Workshop. 

Experiment with colours and shapes as you compose simple designs using scrap fabrics. These small textile studies are quick to make and perfect for trailing compositions when designing larger quilts. Plus, they make lovely objects to frame. Limited spaces.

Join us for our brand-new Family Arts Club as part of Super Saturdays. Celebrate the return of spring by exploring its colours and shapes through collage. 

This drop-in session offers families a chance to bond over arts and crafts, with a nominal £3 per child donation (pay on the day).

Take home a wonderful piece to proudly display and mark your calendars for our next activity on May 25th!

TRAID information stall | FREE

We've partnered with charity retailer TRAID, to offer our local residents a convenient way to donate clothing, using our new TRAID donation bank. TRAID will be joining us at Here Comes the Sun, with more information about this as well as their new free home collection service.

TRAID is a charity working to reuse clothes in the UK, to reduce landfill and carbon emissions. By passing on clothes to TRAID, you'll help keep clothes in use for longer and reduce the need for others to buy new. TRAID funds global projects cleaning up the fashion industry, and currently supports organic cotton farmers, garment workers and their children.

Scenic Spring Bike Ride | FREE

Explore the sights and history of Erith on a scenic bike ride along the Thames. Led by Kevin Winch and Boyd Wardell, this ride offers a leisurely way to discover the area's fascinating history and hidden gems.

All levels welcome, bring your own bike and join us for this spring ride. 

You'll return to The Exchange in time to close out the weekend with chilled live music.
