JOIN THE OPERATORS

The Operators keep things going in the background, from administration and logistical tasks, to creating systems to help The Exchange run smoothly.

The Exchange is a community-owned organisation that uses the heritage of Erith’s Old Library - as a space that was designed and built by local people in 1906 - to inspire new community-led programmes and activities. It was refurbished and brought back to its former glory in 2019.

The Exchange has a small staff team, and there is always an abundance of work to be done to keep things running. The Operators are the volunteers that keep things going on a day-to-day basis, ensuring that The Exchange is ready to welcome people in our Garden Room, that the building is looking its best, that people know about what is going on and where to go when they get here.

Operators support both front and back of house operations, including social media, building maintenance and visitor welcome.

OTHER OPPORTUNITIES

If you don’t fancy yourself as an Operator, there are other opportunities which may be better suited to your skills set and are equally as valuable to the running of The Exchange - read more about those here.
